Principal Program Manager, Innovation and Partnerships
The Haier Silicon Valley Innovation Center is part of the Open Innovation Center of Haier Corporation, sponsored by Haier's Office of CTO. Haier SVIC's role is to identify, engage and manage the relationships between the various Haier brands and R&D Centers and the companies, resources, and businesses across North America. In this capacity, we actively survey and monitor advanced technologies and business opportunities based on our close working relationship with the R&D Centers, and accelerate the engagement, vetting and early discussions with these entities. Haier's family of brands include GE Appliances, Mabe, Fisher & Paykel, Candy, Hoover, Aqua and more, and we are the global leader in residential appliance design, development, manufacturing and ecosystem development.
What you will Do
The Principal Program Manager is a key role within the Haier Silicon Valley Innovation Center in representing the interests and needs of Haier’s global brand portfolio across North America.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Ability to comprehend the technology and business needs of the product lines and R&D teams and translate them into meaningful criteria for company assessment
Ability to quickly come up to speed on new technologies and applications
Broad engagement across Haier’s 12 R&D Centers and product lines to understand their roadmap plans and challenges
Professional and thorough work with minimal supervision
Complete project ownership from scope definition through resource searches through vetting (internally and externally) and through all phases of project and program management
This is a full-time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. No relocation support is available.
What you need to Succeed
Qualified candidates will have the following attributes:
Minimum BS in science, engineering or technical field (MS preferred)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar roles involved with technology assessment and project management
Proven ability to work across multiple projects and time zones
Extensive international business experience
Fluency in Mandarin and English
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion and win support of all key internal stakeholders
Proven team player with excellent written and verbal communications
