The Challenge

Under the general supervision of the Director of IT, the Senior IT Specialists (the Specialist) is the point of contact for ASI associates, Leadership and IT Specialists seeking technical support and must coordinate between the organization and external vendors and contractors regarding IT-related infrastructure and development.

What you will Do

What you will do:

  • Troubleshoot PC’s, networks, wiring, software applications, virtual desktops (AWS) and remote users and troubleshoot VOIP telephone application (Amazon Connect) issues.

  • Administer internal and third-party call taking work requests and user accounts.

  • Perform administrative and maintenance functions for Windows and specialized applications.

  • Installing new software and hardware components

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of our computer network.

  • Contribute to the development of improved processes and quality controls.

  • Study program specifications to gain deeper understanding of performance expectations and coding requirements.

  • Collaborate with Cloud Technology Engineers to plan for coding and overall program development.

  • Research solutions to coding and performance issues. Perform trial runs in later coding stages and modify any existing and potential issues.

  • Provide application and cross functional support throughout the organization.

  • Act as an escalation point for Leadership, remote support personnel, I.T. Specialists & other team members.

  • Support EHS and Facility related issues, as needed.

  • Ensures a safe work environment while adhering to all policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possesses general working knowledge of MS Applications and/or Office 365, data conversion/manipulation, basic telephony trouble shooting; normally acquired through completion of an Associate’s degree and/or five years of progressively related company experience.

  • Possesses analytical skills necessary to handle moderately complex spreadsheets and databases.

  • Able to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings weekends and holidays.

  • Demonstrated time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, coordinate multiple resources and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess general working knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Working knowledge of web development programming languages such as Visual Basic, C++ and Java.

  • Possess working knowledge of networks and network troubleshooting.

  • Possess the ability to analyze and troubleshoot moderately complex spreadsheets and databases.

  • Possess a working knowledge of Cisco IP and VOIP environment; including call routing and database management.

  • Possesses a working knowledge of Virtual Desktop Environments such as Amazon Workspaces.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Work requires ability to work flexible hours, including evenings weekends and holidays .

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs.

  • 5% domestic travel required.
