ASI-Product Support Specialist

The Challenge

Product Support Specialist assist General Electric Appliance customers at all levels, by receiving inbound calls about major appliance inquiries. Customer calls vary from pre-sale information, product registrations, part sales, product trouble shooting and scheduling service appointments. They work side by side with a team of about 20 agents daily; in a fun, friendly, family environment. The pay is at an hourly rate plus incentives and sale commissions, with weekly paydays. Department hours are 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. M-F & 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sat. (Rotating). This is a great position for those wanting to expand their customer service skills and have room for advancement.

What you will Do

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides consumer assistance (phone/online) with the interpretation and resolution of problems.

  • Communicates correct product operation and care instructions

  • Promotes features and benefits of GE branded products and services.

  • Sells use and care guides, parts and service contracts.

  • Refers consumer calls to appropriate business component, service provider or internal customer relations for assistance.

  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need to Succeed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possesses positive, can-do attitude with bias for action; demonstrates sense of urgency and commitment to see things through.

  • High school degree or equivalent required.

  • In-depth knowledge of GE products, processes, policies and guidelines preferred.

  • Previous sales experience a plus strong written communication skills, good typing ability, and computer skills – comfort navigating multiple online applications.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – able to build connection to consumer, WOW them by exceeding their service expectations, and create fans of our service.

  • Strong work ethic; works independently, researching and analyzing data in expedient manner to a reasonable, satisfactory resolution; persistent and able to push through obstacles to achieve success.

  • Flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Works under Team Developer. Follows procedures as outlined and required for the position.
