Job Description Summary
Appliance Delivery Coordinators assist General Electric Appliance customers at all levels, by receiving inbound calls about major appliance deliveries. They work side by side with a team of about 20 agents daily; in a fun, friendly, family environment. This department allows for flexible and part time hours M-F 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., and rotating Saturday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. The pay is at an hourly rate plus incentives, with weekly paydays. This is a great position for those wanting to expand their customer service skills and have room for advancement.
What you will Do
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist customers by inbound telephone calls for inquiries on GE products.
Provide information on product availability, delivery and order processing.
Schedule deliveries and resolve related problems.
Manage order-entry process which includes fax and electronic ordering.
Support Store Associates, Delivery Managers and consumers in all aspects of the order delivery process.
Access Delivery Management Systems (DMS/Manifest) to meet customer/consumer delivery needs.
Utilize Distribution Sales Support Operation (DSSO) to resolve post-delivery issues.
Interact with Home Delivery Agents on store and direct-to-consumer deliveries.
Administer damage allowances.
Provide training to any new team members.
Adheres to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all.
Other duties as assigned by the Developer or Operations Leader.
What you need to Succeed
Requires knowledge normally acquired through high school education and specialized or technical training plus related company experience and on-the-job training.
Ability to make sound decisions and good judgement.
Ability to quickly develop functional knowledge of appliance products and processes.
Excellent communication proficiencies and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal communication skills; proven team player.
Ability to interact with customers and business partners at all levels.
Detail oriented, conscientious, strong sense of ownership with proven follow-through skills.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at one time; strong organization skills.
Knowledge of Windows-based software; working knowledge of the Internet.
Strong attendance record; proven dependability and team player attitude.
Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Works under immediate supervision. Assignments are performed according to specific detailed instructions.
Works alone and checks with Supervisor on deviations.
Previous sales, inbound calls or customer service experience preferred.
