Treasury Analyst

The Challenge

As a Treasury Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Treasury team for the North American headquarters of Haier US Appliance Solutions, Inc.; assisting with day-to-day treasury operations, forecasting cash flows on a short-, medium-, and long-term basis, maintaining and developing value-add reporting packages to senior management and continuously seeking new ways to improve the company’s overall Corporate Treasury processes.

What you will Do

  • Monitor day-to-day cash balances and project cash requirements

  • Track daily free cash flow, liquidity and cash position to senior management with commentary on significant inflows / outflows

  • Develop with Senior Treasury Manager, A/R team, A/P team and Cash FP&A team enhancements to short-, medium- and long-term cash flow forecasting processes by leveraging existing systems (i.e., GTreasury, Oracle, etc.) and their reporting capabilities

  • Produce monthly Outstanding Debt and Interest Expense Schedules

  • Deliver monthly Treasury KPI reporting package, which includes metrics on liquidity, interest expense, cash position, debt position, etc.

  • Analyze monthly GL cash versus Bank balances, working with Controllership and Account reconcilers to ensure completeness and explain variances

  • Prepare bank reporting packages to comply with financial covenants

  • Develop new and enhance existing excel-based treasury models for improvements in forecasting accuracy and reporting on key metrics

  • Assist Senior Treasury Manager with developing risk mitigation strategies

  • Work closely with internal / external audit to provide treasury backup and respond to questions

  • Monitor and maintain monthly cash receipts from an AR inventory finance program

  • Track and analyze bank fees to identify cost saving opportunities

  • Initiate daily outgoing wire and ACH transactions

  • Produce monthly foreign currency rate report

  • Manage bank relationships: daily operations, account maintenance, and account rationalization

  • Perform other ad hoc requests and process improvement projects within the Treasury group

What you need to Succeed

Education

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business

Experience

Required

Minimum 5 years of finance experience or relevant treasury-related experience

Strong communication skills; a flexible and team oriented personality

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and under tight timelines

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and across all business functions

Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Preferred

Certified Treasury Professional designation (CTP)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Treasury workstation experience (GTreasury)

Strong knowledge of treasury accounting
