Senior Merchandising Specialist
The Senior Merchandising Specialist- SmartHome will work closely with the Commercial Director, product management teams, pricing, IT, sales and customer service to provide commercial input, work cross-functionally to ensure SmartHome needs are covered in the NPI process, and effectively execute field marketing programs to drive growth and sales for GE Appliances SmartHome solutions.
What you will Do
Product Communication, Merchandising, Owner Service
Drive results and manage communication workflow in both Consumer Operations and the Commercial organization for GEA SmartHome Solutions.
Own and execute of all merchandising activities supporting the SmartHome Solutions business, for all channels. (retail, contract, consumer website, customer website, 3rd party partnerships, social/digital, brands).
Manage overall SmartHome team project list
Primary customer service escalation contact for customers and sales teams. Research inquires and coordinate resolutions across GE Appliances’ 400+ connected SKUs
Develop and execute all NPI planning and communication packages for field sales teams. Ensure consistent messaging and coordination across product lines for the connected SKU portfolio
What you need to Succeed
Content Creation & Asset Management
Supervise the product photography, manage F&B content, dimensions, and standardized descriptions to be uploaded into MML, Product Roadmaps and MDM.
Creation of collateral outlining all of GE Appliances connected product offerings for both retail and contract channels, including coordination for full line appliance catalog across brands
Manage retail package artwork, product inserts, POP, connected product SKU list and other printed material consistency for the GEA SmartHome portfolio across all product lines to ensure consistent message and benefit delivery.
Place orders and present SmartHome promos in Appliance trade shows, conferences, and training activities as required.

Prepare and provide training as required
BA/BS degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5-years of sales and/or commercial experience with GEA
Articulate and effective communicator that can push SmartHome team agenda across product lines
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills
Ability to integrate and drive action across multiple functions
High attention to detail
Experience working with agencies and digital content development
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage projects to deadlines
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Must be willing and able to travel to GEA sites and customers as needed.
