The Challenge

GE Appliances is seeking a Talent Acquisition Senior Manager to drive a team of recruiters supporting & recruiting coordinators for our organization. The role will be based in Louisville, KY with possibility of remote work. This person will be responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness of the hiring process and serving as a valuable brand ambassador. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Director, the TA Senior Manager will provide vision, leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the evolution of a cost-effective talent acquisition strategy while facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the recruiting organization.

What you will Do

  • Update recruiting procedures or create new, effective sourcing strategies and procedures that align to GE Appliances key priorities.

  • Develop and Supervise Talent Acquisition and recruiting coordinators teams.

  • Use workday, CRM and other Talent Acquisition tools to optimize service delivery and improve candidate experience

  • Survey hiring managers and candidates to improve recruitment process

  • Search for and enforce new sourcing methods to find candidates.

  • Evaluate and suggest the best recruiting strategies for GE Appliances and its affiliates.

  • Suggest innovative strategies for employment branding.

  • Advise hiring managers on proper interviewing methods.

  • Leverages data to develop Talent Acquisition dashboard

  • Conduct job interviews to ensure candidates skills and qualification match the job requirements.

  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of labor legislation, implementing required changes to keep company recruitment processes compliant.

  • Build and maintain outstanding relationships with internal customers.

  • Minimize cost incurred in a recruitment process.

  • Set social media communication strategy for job profiles and functions in an organization.

  • Conduct research to identify and select suitable proactive sourcing strategies.

  • Assist in writing job descriptions that accurately reflect the position in partnership with HRBP and Hiring Managers.

  • Screen resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administer appropriate assessments.

  • Engage, manage, and continue to develop a team of high-performing Full-Time Recruiters.

  • Effectively manage open requisitions and prioritize hard to fill openings.

  • Re-allocate Recruiting resources as needed.

  • Maintain metrics for the talent process.

  • Oversee, Maintain and Enhance Applicant Tracking System (Workday & Phenom).

  • Provide hands-on training for hiring managers.

  • Serve as liaison between hiring manager and Recruiting Team.

  • Partner with Communications and Social Media Team to brand and promote Recruiting strategy.

  • Leverages data analytics for recruitment tools to create and drive the maximization of all sourcing channels and ensures recruiters are utilizing tools and capabilities to the highest degree; manage tools and recruiting contracts/agreements and budget.

  • Manage the recruiting process to ensure adherence with all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other Federal and State compliance requirements.

What you need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Talent Acquisition experience in large organization highly preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Talent Acquisition leading teams

  • Manufacturing experience highly desired

  • Familiarity with HR practices.

  • Understanding of fair employment practices.
