Senior IT Business Analyst, Digital Commerce
As the Senior IT Business Analyst for Digital Commerce, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the e-commerce platform to support our house of brands. This individual will drive commercial growth by scoping and executing projects to enhance the consumer experience, understand and support the technology landscape to ensure platform stability and scale, and collaborate with partners in Sales, Marketing, and other areas of the business to build a shared vision and roadmap for digital commerce.
What you will Do
Agile Project Management
Work closely with e-commerce business team to develop the e-commerce strategy and articulates the roadmap to the IT development team.
Responsible for working with clients to identify and document user stories, prioritizing new features, communicate frequent updates to all stakeholders, and oversee system launches.
Lead sprint retrospective meetings for continuous improvement.
Manage scope changes by negotiating with business stakeholders and development team, including clear communication on the impact of scope change to other priorities, timeline, or cost.
Drive core development principles by articulating business requirements in terms of stability, reliability, performance, speed, flexibility, and capacity.
Identify and assess potential for new technologies to drive improvements to the user experience with the goal to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the development team, business clients, and IT Strategic Architecture Council to assess outsourcing vs. in-house capability to identify and onboard suppliers as needed for new technologies or development work.
Define, track, and report on e-commerce metrics that align with the business strategy.
Drive compliance with industry requirements or best practices such as PCI compliance and PII data protection.
Ensure appropriate support for e-commerce systems.
What you need to Succeed
Bachelor's Level Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with at least 5 years of experience in management application landscapes and infrastructures.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing client-facing projects or system operations.
Ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks.
Strong passion for the ownership experience, e-commerce, and branded marketing.
Ability to actively listen and facilitate moving a diverse group to consensus, including a strong track history of written and verbal communications to update stakeholders and provide direction to team members.
Strong prioritization skills required to manage all in-flight and pending tasks appropriately.
Expertise in Agile development practices.
Knowledge of middleware and service-oriented architecture.
Previous DevOps training and experience.
Experience in e-commerce, web development, and/or consumer-facing applications.
Familiarity with Structured and Object-Oriented Software Development Methodologies including Requirements Analysis, Object Orient Analysis, Process and Data Modeling, Logical and Physical system design, and/or Test Driven Design.
