The Challenge

Provide leadership & guidance as a staff member for the GEA Consumer Operations organization.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership & guidance as a staff member for the GEA Consumer Operations organization.

  • Develop long-term strategic vision and support short-term operations, while ensuring rigorous controllership of all the regions within the Factory Service organization and maximize the financial impact to the bottom line. Overall financial responsibility for all of Service metrics and full control of entire income & balance sheet.

  • Provide financial analysis of all revenue channels, on-going operating variable results (ie VCP analysis), and base cost analysis.

  • Drive realization of productivity targets and revenue opportunities by supporting the operating team with proactive analysis of key operating metrics.

  • Identify opportunities for cost out improvements enabling the organization to be the most efficient and analyze those programs to provide maximize payback.

  • Define and execute financial operating routines such as weekly & quarterly estimates, April and August Short Range Outlook (SRO) and Operating Plan, monthly Balance Sheet estimates and quarterly Account Reconciliations.

  • Define and execute financial reporting processes surrounding region and zone profitability, region incentive programs and all external marketing campaigns.

  • Ensure proper controls are in place to control van inventory, including satisfactory annual physical results.

  • Work with Senior Leadership to understand profitability as well as provide financial information to determine internal costs compared to the external marketplace.

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration

  • Minimum 6+ years of Finance or prior P&L experience

  • Ability to work in matrix environment supporting Finance, and Operations

  • Strong leadership skills & ability to engage and influence others

  • Strong financial analysis skills; Understanding of key financial metrics & analysis techniques

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to "raise the flag" in tough operating environment

  • Strong controllership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PFLP/FDP or equivalent training

  • Extended track record of success in Finance

  • MBA or CPA preferred
