Senior Electrical Engineer - Split AC & VRF Controls
The Split AC and VRF Senior Controls Engineer will lead the integration of connected features including wi-fi and blue tooth for service diagnostics as well as thermostat compatibility into HVAC products including Mini-splits, Multi-splits and Variable Refrigerant flow units This position will support the launch of multiple categories for new Haier and GE branded products for the US market.
What you will Do
Lead the integration of GE communication protocol, wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as smart thermostats into new HVAC equipment products including Mini-splits, Multi-splits and Variable Refrigerant Flow Equipment to ensure these features comply with all Marketing, Regulatory and Safety requirements.
Collaborate with service diagnostics team to incorporate newfi and remote diagnostics into split AC systems
Ensure AC systems compatibility with BACnet and/or Modbus protocols to meet customer commercial requirements.
Support Haier AC and electronics team in the development and qualification of these connected features.
Coordinate with global engineering resources on the execution of program deliverables.
Up to 20% Travel is a possibility which could include China and domestic locations.
BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience working on electronic controls or electrical systems
Demonstrated project planning and project leadership skills and experience.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Demonstrated initiative, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
What you need to Succeed
MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
Experience in working with global design teams.
Experience using Six Sigma and reliability engineering methodology to prove and implement electronic control designs.
