Senior Commercial Policies Specialist
The Senior Commercial Policies Specialist administers the GE Appliances, a Haier company, co-operative advertising policy and procedures including day to day operations and management of the policy.
What you will Do
Manage and administer GEA’s Cooperative Advertising (MAP) and UMRP policies and procedures; identify ads that are non-conforming/inconsistent with GEA policies and take appropriate action as communicated within GEA policies.
Own Cooperative Advertising and Logo Guidelines for local marketplaces, protecting brands while driving impressions.
Support House of Brand (“HOB”) strategies at the local/reseller advertising level, driving consistency and lift for the National Advertising team.
Oversee the evolution of Commercial policies based on emerging technology and industry developments.
Lead Council for Customer Advertising consisting of leaders from Finance, Legal, Marketing and Sales, to coordinate and execute the strategy for cooperative advertising; partner with leadership to manage escalation issues.
Execute projects from conception to completion while ensuring appropriate teams are involved in the decision-making process.
Manage multiple key, integrated vendor partners, with daily oversight and course-correction as needed, making decisions quickly and consistently.
Improve efficiency by identifying and leading simplification and process improvements, as well as contributing to cross-functional strategies to continually improve efficiency.
Support business-wide Oracle transition as related to internal commercial policy tools, processes and any direct impact on vendors’ crucial data feeds or tools.
Focus on improving reseller advertising experience and driving cooperative advertising fund utilization.
Monitor GEA product advertisements on third-party (3P) websites and identify unauthorized resellers; partner with vendors, Legal and Security teams to address unauthorized resellers.
Define, analyze and provide key metrics and data to leadership teams.
Communicate and train new Sales employees on commercial policies and procedures.
Manage co-marketing relationships, supporting the National Advertising team; execute sponsorship strategies to drive media and consumer impressions of the GEA HOB and products.
What you need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of cross-functional commercial experience (sales, marketing and/or product management)
Previous project management experience
Experience with vendor/supplier management
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated strength in process and operational rigor
Must operate with the upmost compliance and ethical standards
Strong Commercial awareness
Ability to lead and effectively work cross functionally
Strong influencing skills
Prior knowledge of advertising tactics
Experience in internal auditing and/or in implementing risk-based controls
Strong problem identification and solving
