The Challenge

The IT Senior Manager, Sourcing will partner with Sourcing functional teams to articulate the needs and formulate an IT strategy and plan to drive and enable business benefits, such as revenue, profit & cash. The role would also partner with managed service teams for system availability and reliability minimizing disruption to our owners. The role would be leading team SMEs/ Architects/ PLs & Program managers to accomplish the goals & deliver tangible value to business.

What you will Do

  • Bring external knowledge for benchmarking & building a future digitization strategy leveraging cutting edge technology

  • Build partnership with function leaders, guide team members and business leaders to find optimal & innovative solutions while driving tangible business value

  • Create a shared vision, roadmap for Procure to Pay (P2P) by partnering with sourcing and finance leadership

  • Assist in building cross-functional consensus and resolving conflicts, if any

  • Set performance targets / goals for each individual and provide timely coaching/ feedback to help them achieve the same

  • Develop relationships within the Cross functional organization to facilitate and enable workouts and discussions toward business simplification and transformation

  • Work effectively with vendor/partners, resources and various IT teams such as Infrastructure, DBAs and Shared Pools (SOA, Reporting, Development, Ops), raising red flags / andons promptly

  • Drive prioritization and execution across P2P & projects

  • Develop plans to transform and grow team members into ‘Digital’ technologies

  • Adopt and help improve Digital tools, standards, policies, governance and operational procedures

What you need to Succeed


  • Understanding of supply chain processes

  • Deep understanding of P2P either in GEA or other business

  • Awareness of new ‘Digital’ technologies

  • Good awareness of P2P / Agile modules of Oracle, not depth

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science

  • Minimum 7+ years of IT experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience leading teams

  • Ability to understand and merge business needs with technology to deliver quality solutions and drive simplification

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across multiple projects and global teams

  • Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate areas of expertise

  • Demonstrated experience driving compliance, operational excellence, and simplification

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills within IT and with business clients.

  • Work effectively with technical peers and business partners

Desired Characteristics

  • ITDP/ Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt Certified

  • Demonstrated leadership, working across a diverse environment of IT employees (onshore and offshore), consultants and vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus with other IT teams and leadership

  • Ability to effectively manage priorities in a highly dynamic environment. Ability to drive change

  • Strong business acumen and technical product knowledge

  • Implementation experience and the ability to recommend business solutions
