The Challenge

: We are looking for Sophomore, Junior or Senior college students or MBA Candidates to join GE Appliances, a Haier Company (GEA). The GE Appliances Home Depot intern position will assist in the development of digital content and online enrichments to enhance consumers online shopping experiences. Assist in managing day to day online operations for the account as well as other special projects as needed.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the repository of floor plan-o-grams and develop and maintain the analysis of the plan-o-grams for compliance to standards for both appliances and water products.

  • Assist with the development and execution of the digital assets for our customer’s website and help manage the quality of information shared via the IDM system (Item Data Management).

  • Assist with the development and execution of the day-to-day operations for stores, field sales needs and field projects.

  • Perform analysis of market analytics for promotions/market demographics and develop recommendations to improve competitive performance and growth.

  • Assist with running reports and gathering sell-to information to assist the national account managers and finance with developing estimates for performance, regional analysis and tracking financial commitments for promotions.

  • Manage multiple priorities, drive timely issue resolution and process improvement and effectively implement Strategic Account initiatives.

What you need to Succeed


  • Students Only. Candidates must be enrolled in college pursuing a Business, Sales or Marketing degree and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Students enrolled in other areas will be considered if the candidate demonstrates applicable skills including business knowledge, analytical capability, curiosity grasp of the big picture and drive to deliver.

  • Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week during school semesters and full-time in the summer; during the following business hours: Mon - Fri 8 AM – 5:00 PM.

  • Must have at least 12 months of education remaining before graduation.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective programs and initiatives.

  • Strategic and analytical thinking, data oriented decision-making skills and demonstrated ability to manage the details of day-to-day execution.

  • Self-starter, able to work independently and manage multiple/diverse tasks.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills for multiple audiences
