Customer Service Representative - Work at Home
GE Appliances’ Customer Service “Core Team” professionals provide world class customer experiences for our Area Sales Managers (Outside Sales Representatives) and our customers by taking incoming calls, processing orders and completing order and delivery processes.
This posting is for a Work at Home position. Employees hired will be expected to work from home, providing their own computer and high-speed internet.
What you will Do
Take incoming calls and process orders on computer
Process customer orders over the phone for GE Appliances using a variety of web-based tools and resolve issues by using strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
Resolve delivery problems arising after product has left the warehouse.
Support Area Sales Managers (Outside Sales Representatives) in all aspects of the order and delivery process.
Provide customer information on product availability, delivery, billing and finance processes.
Process requests for sales literature, product features and specifications.
What you need to Succeed
Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to manage multiple web-based applications at one time.
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Must maintain a suitable home work environment, free from noise/distractions
Flexibility with work schedule. Due to multiple shift draws per year, candidates must be available to work all shifts M-F between the hours of 7:30am - 8:30pm as needed.

Reliable, High-Speed Internet Connection; Cable or Fiber (NO dial-up, satellite or wireless connections)
Smartphone with Android OS or iPhone for user authentication (will not be taking calls on personal cell phone)
Computer (PC with Windows 10 os Mac with at least 8MB of RAM and at least 4GB of free space on hard drive)
Web cam (can be external or integrated in computer)
Second monitor to allow for dual-screen work
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must live in Louisville, KY or surrounding area with ability to attend periodic meetings at our office location in Louisville, KY
At least one-year prior experience in a customer-facing role
At least one-year prior experience in a phone-based, Customer Service role
Previous work at home experience
Knowledge of GE Appliances’ models and features a plus.
The starting salary for this position is non-negotiable at $32,000 annually.
