The Challenge

GE Appliances is looking for Customer Service professionals to join our team.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will assist businesses in placing and tracking their appliance orders via incoming telephone call and email. Our Customer Service calls are not scripted, giving you the ability to provide the individualized service each customer deserves. You will be able to do this confidently after completing our comprehensive, classroom-style new hire training. This is NOT a sales or collections position.

What you will Do

  • Answer inbound telephone calls

  • Process business orders using a variety of web-based tools

  • Resolve issues using strong critical thinking and reasoning skills

  • Support Area Sales Managers in all aspects of the appliance order and delivery process

  • Assist customers by answering questions regarding product availability, delivery, billing, and finance processes

  • Process requests for sales literature, product features and specifications

What you need to Succeed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Read and converse well in English

  • Type and navigate dual computer screens while holding a conversation

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic demonstrated through attendance record

  • Ability to attend a six-week training program with a Monday – Friday schedule of 8am – 5pm without absences

  • Flexible work schedule; center is open Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 8:30pm, and employees may be asked to work any shift during this time with notice

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in a call center or service related industry (telecommunications, retail, food service, hospitality, office/administrative, or similar)
