The Challenge

The AP5 Materials role will report directly to the Finance Manager of AP5 and partner with Plant Operations in driving plant and product line Hoshin goals, as well as inventory controllership throughout the plant.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Financial lead for estimating and maintaining product cost standards supporting $250M in annual parts production/purchasing

  • Cross-functional lead between various business functions with regard to Make/Buy analysis for insourcing and outsourcing of parts and supporting PSI discussion around demand and production needs; considering cost, cash, and risk impact

  • Ensure controllership in managing $8M of raw & in-process inventory, including leadership of annual site physical inventory, cycle count process and root cause sur/def drivers

  • Work with operations/quality to reduce scrap costs including standard work on scrap tickets

  • Define and execute financial operating routines such as weekly & quarterly estimates, planning cycles, monthly Balance Sheet estimates and Account Reconciliations

  • Work with Plant and Product Finance Manager to understand profitability and provide financial information on current production and potential new product introductions

  • Ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard plant assets, including Physical inventories of material and Plant and Equipment

  • Support the Plant Finance Manager in a broad range of activities including weekly reporting, rhythms & various ad hoc analysis

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ Finance experience. Ability to work in matrix environment supporting Finance, Operations, and Product Lines

  • Effective communicator - able to work with all levels of management

  • Strong financial analysis skills - understand key financial metrics & analysis techniques

  • Strong Controllership mindset with independent view - will "raise the flag” when warranted

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP, Oracle, SQL

  • Strong Microsoft Excel & Access skills

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Good financial analysis skills with focus on planning, prioritization, and problem solving

  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in analysis, high energy level, results oriented, self-motivated
