The Challenge

This role is an opportunity for a Program Manager to work on Refrigeration NPI programs with Asia, Europe, South America and Mexico in the Sourced Products Refrigeration Team. This is a hands-on engineering position that will work closely with our suppliers to develop and execute NPI programs for refrigerator and freezer sourced products from other regions or countries.

What you will Do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Program Manager responsible for project execution to the GEA NPI Process including being responsible for the program team achieving schedule and program cost goals.

  • Lead development with cross functional global team members including Product Management, Technology, Quality, Service and Sourcing.

  • Lead presentation for all toll-gate NPI reviews in accordance with the latest NPI process requirements.

  • Manage resolution of technical issues, problem analysis and use failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS) rigor to close any test failures.

  • Test and evaluate design configurations. Document and present results.

  • Insure all regulatory and agency requirements are met and properly documented.

  • Drive Design for Reliability methodology

  • Lead running change activities to improve quality and costs with sourced product suppliers.


  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • Ten (10) years of related experience.

  • Prior experience must include some experience with New Product Introduction (NPI).

  • Self-starting leader with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to generate/implement solutions.

  • Ability to work multiple design solutions in parallel.

  • Ability to work in a global environment.

  • Ability to travel internationally 20 – 50% as required.

  • Ability to hold evening conference calls with other regions outside of normal work hours.

  • Experience in refrigeration technology or thermal systems.
